HOLES

I've named my final video 'Holes' simply due to the fact that well, my video focuses on the interesting visual aspects of the Holes I found while down at Big Bay Park. This was actually my first video that I took on my camera and I found it to be the best. You'll find that this video is the last portion of the very first video I have on my blog here. Something about the flow and movement of the camera along with the tantilizing images of the circles really caught my eye. I added a wave track simply because I loved hearing the sound of the crashing waves as I was capturing pictures and videos...it was almost soothing, yet some of the crashes seemed to disturb me, as some of them were violent. So here it is...my final project, "Holes" It is exactly 2 minutes long and was finished on August 2nd, 2007.

Original Video from Big Bay Park...

Excursion up the long winding hill...

I took this video as I walked back up toward my car...for some odd reason, I was just toying around with the camera at this point and wanted to see what it would look like if I held it extremely close to the ground. The video itself turned out shockingly cooler/better than I expected. It feels as though I was a bug flying or crawling fast up toward the top of the hill...

Blood red flower in the middle of the Last Station

Lonely blood red flower in the midst of sadness...

I wasn't really looking for anything to shoot as I was about to head home from another adventure at Holy Hill. However, I took a look at this final station and it really caught my eye. The power of the red flower really stood out amongst the pure white statues all saddened obviously...

Climbing higher and higher...

Something about these steps always seems to catch my eye...

I was intrigued by the look of the the steps that led you higher toward the cathedral. These steps looked particularly old and worn, captivating amongst the immense amount of green trees. I went for the "Bug" effect again like I had used in at Big Bay Park.

Woven golden names

Interesting Sculpture inside the prayer grounds...

I hadn't ventured into this area in quite sometime and never really looked at the cool details that were on the table. The gold interweaving names stood out to me as well as the carving of the man's face. I'm not quite sure as to who it is, my guess is that it would be God possibly...

The Intricate details of the Stations of the Cross...

Little video between the first two stations...

The first video I took while on the grounds yet again. It's funny how these first two stations and winding road seem to set the mood/tone for the visitor whenever they decide to visit. Something about these stations and sculptures seems to really draw you in and notice the painstakingly amazing detail that are etched into the faces and bodies and overall rocks that lie within the woods.

First video shot while at the Park...

Video of the nice looking vines out at Big Bay Park...

The first video that I took was an experiment really to test out the video quality of my camera. I decided to use my digital camera for safety purposes-one that I knew I would be by water and thought that it would probably not be a good thing if I were to ruin the school's camera. This hanging vine really caught my eye and I decided to capture it acting as though I were a bug climbing the vine and then checking my surroundings...the video itself really surprised me of the capabilities of the camera...
